Women's tennis team wraps up Region 8 Tournament

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team wrapped up the FCSAA Region 8 Women's Tennis Tournament with a couple of wins.

The Titans won third-place matches in both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles as well as the No. 1 doubles team of Kanna Kobayakawa and Kayla Greco.

Kobayakawa placed third in No. 1 singles after defeating State College of Forida's Carlota Martinez 8-2.

Greco took third at No. 2 singles by defeating State College of Florida's Lou Bonet 8-6.

The duo teamed up at No. 1 doubles to take third place, defeating Kia Carvalho-Landell and Martinez 8-0.

Hillsborough Community College won the Region 8 title and will advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament as will St. Petersburg College and the State College of Manatee.
