Women's tennis team opens fall season Friday

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team opened the fall season Friday at the Embry Riddle Invitational in Daytona Beach.

Sophomore Valeria Arevalo won her first match of the day in the Gold Flight but fell short in a battle with Flagler's Eden Schlagenhauf in the second match, losing 13-11 in a third set tiebreaker.

Teammates Shaeda Nickle, Isabella Diaz and Zoe Hanson will all look for their first wins on Saturday. The matches begin at 11 a.m. at the Crotty Tennis Complex.
