Women's tennis team tops St. Petersburg

The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team edged St. Petersburg5-4 in a region match on Thursday afternoon.

Dugleisy Linarez clinched the win for the Titans, winning the third set 6-2.

Jaime Duque and Emma Othmer gave the Titans the lone win in doubles as the duo won 8-3.

In singles, Sarah Manseri picked up the win at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2 while Shaeda Nickle won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 and Othmer won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

The win is the third straight for the Titans as they have now beaten St. Petersburg in both meetings this season. They will travel to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota for another region matchup Friday at 2 p.m.
