Women's tennis team tops Broward College
The Eastern Florida State College women's tennis team won its fourth straight match, defeating Broward College 7-2 Thursday afternoon in Davie.
Once again strong doubles play led to the victory as all three doubles teams picked up wins to start off the match. Sarah Manseri and Yuliana Monroy picked up the No. 1 single, while Dugleisy Linarez and Shaeda Nickle won at No. 2 doubles and Jaime Duque and Emma Othmer got a win at No. 3 doubles.
Monroy, Manseri, Nickle and Othmer also won their singles matches to clinch the 7-2 win. It is the second time this season the Titans have beaten Broward, winning 5-4 on Feb. 17.
The men and women's tennis teams will play ASA Miami College at 11 a.m. Friday. The women's tennis team will be back at Titan Tennis Center next Thursday against Southern Indiana for an 11 a.m. match.
