Women's soccer team defeated Polk State College

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team posted a conference victory Monday night in a game rescheduled due to Hurricane Milton.

The No. 17 ranked Titans defeated Polk State College 4-2 at Orlando Health Stadium.

Tiggi Gent opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the contest, hitting a penalty kick past the Polk State goalkeeper. Polk State College would tie the game 1-1.

But with less than 10 minutes left in the first half, Victoria Pou Varona scored her second goal of the season to give the Titans a lead once again.

In the second half, Phoebe Wilson hit a free kick from outside the box to make it 3-1. It was her second goal of the season.

Polk State College once again came back to cut into the lead as Zoe Torres scored to make it 3-2.

But with four minutes remaining in the contest, Wilson found Lili Baidoe for the fourth goal of the night for the Titans.

Eastern Florida State College will host Miami Dade College on Friday night at 6 p.m. at Orlando Health Stadium. Admission is free and the game will be live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
