Pastor, Alvarez Garcia named to NJCAA Division I All-America teams

Two members of the Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team were named to the All-America teams on Tuesday.

Freshman Lauren Pastor was named to the second team after allowing 11 goals in 19 games for a goals against average of 0.66. The goalkeeper from Paris, France recorded seven shutouts and allowed just two goals in helping the Titans reach the NJCAA Division I National Championship Game.

Sophomore Ana Alvarez Garcia was named to the honorable mention team as a starting midfielder for the Titans. The Asturias, Spain native had a goal and three assists as a defensive midfielder with the goal being a game winner.

The Titans finished as the runner-up in the national tournament and won the Southeast District championship and then reached the final for the fourth time in program history.
