Women's soccer team to play in Southeast District Tournament this weekend

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will play in the Southeast District Tournament this weekend in Milledgeville, Georgia.

The sixth-ranked Titans are the Region 8 champions after defeating Daytona State College in the championship game on Saturday.

Eastern Florida State College is 9-3-1 this season and will play Region 17 runner-up Gordon State in the semifinals of the Southeast District Tournament on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Gordon State comes into the contest 7-6-4 after losing to Georgia Military 4-2.

Georgia Military will play USC Lancaster in the first semifinal at 1 p.m. The Bulldogs are 10-4-3 overall after defeating Gordon State in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association final. USC Lancaster comes into the tournament 8-8 and have won three straight including a win over Spartanburg Methodist to advance to the tournament.

The winner of the Southeast District Tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament beginning Nov. 12 in Wichita, Kansas.
