Women's soccer team beats No. 15 Laramie County CC

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team defeated No. 15 Laramie County Community College Sunday evening in the home opener at Orlando Health Stadium.

The fourth-ranked Titans picked up the 5-1 victory to improve to 2-0 on the season as four different players scored.

Sophomore Morgan Gamin took a pass from Nancy Almanza and tucked it into the back of the net just nine minutes into the contest to give the Titans a 1-0 lead.

The game would remain 1-0 for much of the first half as the Titans had some good opportunities but Laramie County held them at bay.

With time ticking down in the half, sophomore Samira Roper Morales scored with 21 seconds remaining as the Titans went into halftime leading 2-0.

Mia Lewis got things started in the second half as Mia Lewis scored six minutes into the second half. Gamin scored her second of the game and fifth of the season five minutes later.

Down 4-0, Laramie County Community College got on the board as Tayler Miller made the penalty kick with 11:54 remaining.

Sofia Posner would give the Titans one final goal with 7:30 remaining to give the Titans a 5-1 win.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Panama Beach City on Friday to play LSU-Eunice.
