Logan Humbert named to NJCAA Division I All-America Honorable Mention team

Eastern Florida State College women's soccer player Logan Humbert was named to the NJCAA Division I All-America Honorable Mention team on Tuesday.

The sophomore from Rockledge helped the Titans to a 12-3 record and their 12th straight trip to the national tournament. The defender led a defense that ranked among the best in the nation.

"Laura (Cetina) came up to me in class and said look, I thought she was talking about the all-Region team until I looked again," Humbert said. "It means that no matter how my season turned out I had a good season and I worked hard to prepare for it and it was honestly one of the best seasons that I have had. Being a player from Brevard County, I am proud that I am able to represent my town and be honored with some quality players from all over the country."

Humbert also had two goals and two assists this season for the Titans.

"She was really playing good for us and when she got hurt it really hurt us in the back and we missed her leadership," Eastern Florida State College women's soccer coach Scott Carswell said. Humbert injured her knee on Oct. 22 during a game against Daytona State College.

Humbert becomes the 23rd Titan to be named to the NJCAA Division I All-America teams.
