Women's soccer team travels to Daytona State to play in semifinal tonight

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will open the postseason Friday night on the road.

The No. 2 ranked Titans will travel to Daytona State College to face the host Falcons at 7 p.m. in the Region 8 semifinal.

Eastern Florida State College, who is 10-1 this season and the defending national champions, has won the first two meetings this season.

Daytona State College is the No. 3 seed in the tournament, coming into the postseason 7-4-2 on the season. The two teams met last weekend at Orlando Health Stadium with the Titans winning on Mia Lewis' goal in overtime.

Both matchups this season have been one-goal games.

The winner of Friday night's game will advance to the Region 8 Tournament final Sunday night at Daytona State College against Polk State College.
