Women's soccer team blanks Broward

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team posted its seventh straight shutout and the offense scored eight times Saturday night at Orlando Health Stadium.

The Titans wrapped up the home portion of the regular season unbeaten after an 8-0 victory over Broward College in a Region 8 Conference matchup. The Titans have not lost a home game in the regular season since Oct. 16, 2017.

On Saturday evening both the offense and defense shined as sophomore Morgan Miller scored her first hat trick of her career and goalkeeper Kiera Gibson came up with several big saves including multiple 1-on-1 situations with Broward forwards.

Freshman Julieta Limardo scored twice in the first half while Fran Espinoza scored her fifth goal of the season.

Freshman Jaydee Seaman scored her first goal as a Titan in the second half as did sophomore Alyse Chairvolotti. The shutout was the seventh straight for the Titans which is a program record.

The Titans are now 2-0 against Broward this season, outscoring the Seahawks 13-0.

The Titans improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference with the win. Eastern Florida State College will be on the road for the final three games of the regular season, beginning Wednesday night at Daytona State College at 7 p.m.
