Women's soccer back in action Saturday night on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team hits the road this weekend for a game in Tennessee.

The No. 3 ranked Titans will play Columbia State Community College Saturday at 7 p.m. EDT.

Columbia State comes into the game 3-2 overall and has scored 14 goals in five matches this season. Freshman Tiegan Clausen leads the Chargers with six goals and has another three assists this season.

The Titans will be back on the field after 22 days off due to Hurricane Dorian. Eastern Florida State College is 1-0 after a season-opening win against Southwestern Illinois.

"We are excited to finally get to play again after a long layoff because of the weather," Eastern Florida State College head coach Jeff Carr said. "Hopefully the trip will be a bonding time and help us prepare for the opening of conference which is the following weekend at Broward. Hopefully we won't be too rusty after this long absence from playing."

This will be the first meeting between the Titans and Columbia State.
