Miller, Garriga named NJCAA Second Team All-Americans

Eastern Florida State College women's soccer players Morgan Miller and Cristina Garriga were named NJCAA Division I Second Team All-Americans on Wednesday.

The pair helped the Titans to the national championship tournament semifinals and a 16-3-1 record this season.

Garriga, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, scored a tournament-best four goals in the national tournament and finished the season with 15 goals and 11 assists. Garriga was also named the Region 8 Player of the Year earlier this season.

Miller, a freshman from Melbourne, scored eight goals and had two assists in her first season with the Titans. The midfielder started all 20 games this season and had two game-winning goals. She was named the Region 8 Freshman of the Year earlier this year.

"Cristina and Morgan had fantastic seasons and I am very proud of them both being named 2nd Team All Americans," Eastern Florida State College women's soccer coach Jeff Carr said. "What an accomplishment and very deserving!"

The women's soccer program has had at least two players make the NJCAA All-American teams since 2012.
