Women's soccer team falls in national tournament semifinals

For the second straight season the Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team's season ended in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament semifinals.

The Titans lost to defending national champion Tyler Junior College 2-1 in Foley, Alabama and end the season 16-3-1. It is the second straight season that Tyler has beaten the Titans in the semifinals.

Eastern Florida State College opened the scoring in the first half as Keli Lindquist scored in the 29th minute to give the Titans the lead. It was short-lived as Tyler came back to tie the match three minutes later.

It would remain tied until the 80th minute when Tyler once again found the back of the net to give the Apaches the lead.

The loss marks the end of head coach Jeff Carr's career as the head coach as he is stepping down. The Titans have made the national tournament seven straight seasons and made it to the final four five times.
