Titans host Johnson County Sunday evening looking to go 2-0

The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will be back at Titan Soccer Complex Sunday evening.

The Titans, who are ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll, opened the regular season Friday night with a 6-1 victory over No. 2 Laramie County Community College and will look to go 2-0 on the season when they host Johnson County Community College at 6 p.m. Sophomore Ebony Wiseman led the attack with two goals and three assists for the Titans.

Johnson County Community College is 0-1 after losing a weather-shortened opener against Daytona State College 4-1. Kayla Brashear scored for Johnson County who comes into the weekend No. 19 in the preseason poll.

Daytona State College will play Laramie County Community College at 10 a.m. at Titan Soccer Complex in a battle of top 10 teams. Against Johnson County Friday night, the Falcons were led by the duo of Tayla Duffy and Michelle O'Driscoll who each had two goals. Daytona State comes into the matchup No. 7 in the preseason poll.
