Lockwood, Da Silva named NJCAA All-Americans

The postseason honors continue to come in for women's soccer players Katie Lockwood and Nathali Da Silva.

The sophomores were both named National Junior College Athletic Association All-Americans on Monday as Lockwood was named to the first team while Da Silva was named to the second team.

Both were named first team All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches Association last week.

Lockwood, a midfielder from Huddersfield, England, finished with 17 goals and 12 assists including two games in which she scored four goals. Lockwood scored in nine of the team's 16 games this season and had three game winners.

Da Silva, a forward from Rio de Janeiro, finished with a team-high 18 goals and 12 assists and helped the Titans make a run in the postseason with eight goals in the six games.

It is the fourth straight season that a member of the women's soccer team has been named first team All-American and Lockwood becomes the seventh player in Titans history to garner first team All-American honors.
