Women's soccer team plays for spot in semifinals Wednesday evening
The Eastern Florida State College women's soccer team will play for a spot in the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament semifinals at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Titan Soccer Complex.
The Titans will play Schoolcraft College in the final game of Pool D after Schoolcraft lost a tight game with Iowa Western 5-4 on Tuesday night. The Titans defeated Iowa Western Monday evening 4-0.
"Schoolcraft is a really good team, a hardnosed blue-collar team so we will have our hands full with them," Eastern Florida State College women's soccer coach Jeff Carr said after Monday night's game.
Sophomore Nathali Da Silva scored twice in the win and has now scored seven goals in the postseason for the Titans who have outscored opponents 20-4 in the four postseason games.
The Titans are looking to advance to the National Tournament semifinals for the fourth time in the past six years.
Tickets can be purchased at Titan Soccer Complex gate, $10 for adults and $7 for students. Children 5 and under, free. College students must present school ID.
The Eastern Florida State College 5:30 p.m. match Wednesday will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV and available via the station's @easternflorida YouTube Channel at no charge.
