Women's golf team in seventh at Oldfield Intercollegiate

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in seventh place after two rounds at the Oldfield Intercollegiate in Okatie, South Carolina.

The Titans shot rounds of 314 and 319 at the Oldfield Golf Club Monday.

Sophomore Gracie Doke is in fourth place after shooting rounds of 75 and 76. Doke opened the tournament with a birdie on No. 9 and had another birdie at No. 6 to finish the round at 3-over. In the second round, Doke birdied the seventh hole on her way to a 4-over.

Teammate Jenna Barnett is tied for ninth overall after shooting rounds of 78 and 76.

Brittany Odic is tied for 26th overall, struggling in the afternoon round after an opening round of 78. Emma Parker is tied for 49th and Jaida Furlow is tied for 54th overall.

"We are close at times, just need to keep cleaning it up," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "Steady play by Doke but we need more balance in our scoring."

SCAD-Savannah is leading the tournament, shooting a 304 in the first round and then posting a 312 in the second round.

The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
