Women's golf team places fifth at Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team placed fifth in the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite in Valdosta, Georgia.

The Titans were the only junior college in the field and was fifth overall in the tournament. Keiser University won the tournament, shooting a 308 in the final round to finish the three rounds with a 918. Host Dalton State placed second in the event, five strokes behind Keiser University.

Freshman Sarah Knitter placed seventh overall in the tournament, shooting a 77 in the final round to finish with a 232 for the tournament. Jasmine Yang placed 21st overall, shooting an 83 on Tuesday while Savannah Hawthorne finished tied for 24th overall at 245. Kira Shellman had her best round of the tournament, shooting an 81.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Beaufort, South Carolina for the UCSB Monument Golf Oldfield Invitational next Monday and Tuesday.
