The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team is in second place after the first round of the 18th annual Webber Women's Fall Invitational at Lake Wales Country Club.

The Titans shot 308 as a team which is the best round of the fall and puts them in second place behind William Carey University who shot a 299.

Sophomore Kacey Walker led the Titans, shooting a 2-over 74 in the first round and is tied for third place individually, two strokes behind the leader. Teammate Elise Boccabella is tied for fifth at 5-over and Sloan Ranier is tied for seventh at 6-over.

Trinity Falzone shot a 79 and is tied for 11th.

"We are getting closer, plenty of good play offset by a variety of unforced errors. We keep working and we will continue to improve," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The Titans will wrap up the Webber Fall Classic on Tuesday.
