Women's golf team in fifth place at Panther Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team remained in fifth place after the second round of the Florida Tech Panther Invitational at Duran Golf Club in Viera.

The Titans shot 14 strokes better than Round 1, shooting a 322 in the second round to remain in fifth place.

Freshman Kacey Walker is in 10th place overall after shooting 5-over 77 in the second round. Walker is 6-over for the tournament. Teammates Delia Timpy and Trinity Falzone are tied for 25th after two rounds while Gianna Piscitelli is in 31st place overall.

Host Florida Tech is leading the event after shooting a 297 in the second round and is 10-over for the tournament. The Panthers are leading Seminole State by two strokes.

The final round of the tournament is Tuesday morning at Duran Golf Club.
