Women's golf team opens spring at Coastal Georgia event

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team will open the spring season Monday morning at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational.

The women's team is competing in the tournament for the first team and is one of 12 teams competing at the King & Prince Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia.

"The team has progressed through the month of January in preparation for our spring schedule. Kacey Walker has played some very good rounds and Gianna Piscitelli, Trinity Falzone and Delia Timpy continue to improve as all four have been working diligently on their games," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The team had a good fall season including third-place finish at the Webber International Fall Invitational.

The Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational is the first of four regular-season tournaments before the Region 8 State Tournament April 27-28.
