Women's golf team opens Lady Falcon Invitational

The Eastern Florida State College women's golf team opened the fall season Friday in the Lady Falcon Invitational at LPGA International.

The Titans started three freshmen in the tournament and Kacey Walker shot an 82 and is in 38^th place overall while Delia Timpy and Trinity Falzone each shot 92 in the first round.

"The course played hard today and all three are playing their first college event," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "The short game got everyone as the rough is thick around the greens."

Seminole State is leading Florida Southern, Lynn University and Bethune Cookman by eight strokes after the first round. Eastern Florida State College will start round 2 Saturday morning.
