Women's golfers post solid first round at Panther Invitational

Eastern Florida State College women's golfers fared well in the first round of the Panther Invitational at Duran Golf Club Sunday.

Titans sophomore Lauren Holder shot a 7-over 79 and is in 25^th place while teammate Danica Swaggerty shot an 8-over 80 and is tied for 26^th. Freshman Dayna Owens shot an 84 in the first round.

"Good job by the three players today, good to have Lauren back and healthy," Eastern Florida State College women's golf coach Jamie Howell said. "We are looking for more good play the next two days."

The Titans will tee off at 9 a.m. for round 2 of the tournament.
