Bio

Mark DeCotis begins his eighth season as the assistant coach for life skills. 

A member of the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame, DeCotis spent 37 years at Gannett Company Inc. newspapers in Utica, N.Y., and at FLORIDA TODAY in Brevard County, retiring in 2012 as senior sports writer.

He also spent four years in Communications at Eastern Florida, retiring in 2016 as Manager of Athletic Communications.

DeCotis and his wife Pam reside in Melbourne. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.
