Women's basketball team hits road for big conference game

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will hit the road for a big early-season Citrus Conference matchup with Florida Southwestern State College on Wednesday.

The Titans are coming off a convincing win over Daytona State College in the conference opener on Monday and head to Fort Myers on a five-game win streak against the Bucs.

Florida Southwestern is receiving votes in the national poll and also won their conference opener against St. Petersburg College, picking up a 34-point victory. The Bucs are now 5-3 overall and have won three in a row.

Eastern Florida State College's E'Zaria Adams is coming off a career-best, 21-point performance and is averaging 8.6 points per game this season. Teammate Karen Nimo comes into the game averaging 15.9 points to lead the team.

Florida Southwestern had four people score in double figures on Monday night led by Samantha Serrano who had 22 points. Serrano leads the team, averaging 17 points per game while teammate Ivy Brown is averaging 12.9.
