Women's basketball team No. 3 seed for state tournament

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team is the No. 3 seed for the 2024 FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII Women's Basketball Championship at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida.

The Titans are the defending state champions and come into the tournament 26-3 overall and 21-0 in the Citrus Conference.

It is the seventh straight season the Titans have made the tournament and are one of the top three seeds for the third straight season.

Eastern Florida State College will open the Women's Basketball Championship on Thursday against No. 6 seed Hillsborough Community College at 3 p.m. in Niceville. The Titans have won each of the past three meetings including a 96-78 win on March 2.

The Titans won the title for the first time in program history last season and are currently on a 25-game win streak heading into the postseason.
