Women's basketball team finished conference season unbeaten

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team wrapped up its third straight unbeaten conference season on Monday night.

The Titans, who are ranked seventh, defeated St. Petersburg College 63-41 on the road to finish the regular season 25-3 overall and 21-0 in the Citrus Conference.

"Extremely proud of our team with the success we have had by not only winning the Citrus conference championship but finishing undefeated is an incredible accomplishment," Eastern Florida State College women's basketball coach MJ Baker said. "Success in this conference isn't just about winning every game, it's a testament to the relentless dedication, teamwork and unwavering focus of our players. Undefeated is not just a record; it's a reflection of our love and commitment to excellence on and off the court."

The Titans got off to a fast start, outscoring St. Petersburg College 25-4 at the end of the first quarter. Eastern Florida State College would lead 38-19 at halftime.

Sophomore Amelia Hassett finished with 12 points while Kristiana Kulackovska had nine points and Esra Sen scored eight in the win. E'Zaria Adams and Silvia Otokhagua each scored seven as 10 players scored for the Titans.

Eastern Florida State College, who has won 25 straight games, heads into the FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Championships March 14-16 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.
