Women's basketball team in Lubbock for national tournament

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team is in Lubbock, Texas preparing for the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament.

The Titans come into the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will face the winner of No. 15 Casper and No. 18 Walters State College on Thursday at 7 p.m. EDT. Casper is 30-3 this season and has won 17 in a row. Casper won the Northwest Plains title and will face Walters State College is 25-4 overall and won the Appalachian District to make the tournament.

Casper and Walters State will tip off Wednesday at 3 p.m. EDT in a first-round matchup in the 24-team field set to play at Rip Griffin Center at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, Texas.

Eastern Florida State College comes into the national tournament as one of the best defensive teams in the country, holding opponents to 48.8 points per game which is fifth in the nation.
