Women's basketball team cruises to Central Conference win

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team cruised to its 19th straight win at Titan Field House, defeating the Florida State College at Jacksonville in a Central Conference game Wednesday night.

The second-ranked Titans improved to 24-1 overall and 8-0 in the Central Conference with a 95-21 victory Wednesday.

It was the second straight game that Eastern Florida State College has scored at least 95 points and sixth time this season the Titans have scored at least 90 points in a game.

And they scored the first 13 points of the game and led 28-2 at the end of the first quarter as six different Titans scored.

The Eastern Florida State College held Florida State College at Jacksonville to under 10 points in each quarter and a total of 10 points in the second half.

All 13 players scored for the Titans who have won 21 straight conference games as L'or Eyeba Mputu led the attack with 16 points, eight coming in the first quarter.

Region 8 Player of the Week Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu and Leilani Guion each scored 12 points and Shadaria Smith had 11 points in the win.

Eastern Florida State College have won eight straight and will travel to Santa Fe College next Wednesday night for a conference game. Wednesday's road game will tip off at 5:30 p.m.
