Women's basketball team hosts FSC-Jacksonville in conference matchup

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will put their 18-game home winning streak on the line Wednesday night at Titan Field House.

The Titans, who are 23-1 overall and 7-0 in the Central Conference, will host the Florida State College at Jacksonville Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in a conference matchup as they look to inch closer to another conference title.

The Florida State College at Jacksonville is 1-6 in the conference but have played some close games in the conference. Ameera Thomas is averaging 10.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in conference games this season and had a double-double in the first meeting with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Eastern Florida State College, who is ranked No. 2 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, has five players averaging double digits in conference games this season. L'or Eyeba Mputu is averaging 16.9 points while Region 8 Player of the Week Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu is averaging 13.4 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

Leilani Guion enters the game averaging 13.4 points per conference game, while Shadaria Smith is averaging 11.4 points and Amelia Hassett is averaging 10.1 points and 8.6 rebounds.
