Women's basketball team defeats Monroe College in Niceville

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won its 13 straight game, defeating Monroe College in Niceville Saturday afternoon.

The fourth-ranked Titans improved to 13-0 after the 69-40 victory.

Monroe College took the early lead in the first quarter, but Eastern Florida State College went on a run and led by eight after the first quarter. It became a 16-point lead at halftime.

Shadaria Smith led the Titans with 13 points while L'or Eyeba Mputu and Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu each had 10 points in the win. Amelia Hassett grabbed eight rebounds while Ozzy-Momodu had seven.

The Titans will travel to Hillsborough Community College Thursday evening at 5:30 p.m.
