Women's basketball team rolls to win at Florida Southwestern Classic

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team defeated John A. Logan Saturday afternoon at the Florida Southwestern Classic in Fort Myers.

The No. 16 ranked Titans led right from the start, leading by as many as 41 in the third quarter, defeating John A. Logan 89-56 to improve to 3-0.

Eastern Florida State College led by 11 after the first quarter and 27 at halftime as 11 players scored in the contest.

Shadaria Smith led the balanced attack with 22 points while Leilani Guion had 12 points in the win. L'or Eyeba Mputu finished with a double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Teammate Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu also had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Elli Garnett also finished with 10 points.

Endya Robinson had 17 points for John A. Logan.

Eastern Florida State College will play No. 6 College of Southern Idaho Sunday at 2 p.m. in Fort Myers.
