Women's basketball team hosts St. Petersburg in final regular season game

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team is one win away from a perfect conference season.

The Titans, who are 24-3 overall and 11-0 in the Central Conference, will host St. Petersburg College Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. in the last regular-season game of the season.

Eastern Florida State College will also honor the five sophomores at halftime of the game as they will playing their final game at Titan Field House. 

Tatiana Beaumont, Ana Carolina De Jesus, Sophia Ojhammar, Kaitlyn Sanders and Jillian Schenk will all be recognized at halftime of Tuesday night's game.

The Titans come into Tuesday night's game with a 12-game winning streak and a win on Tuesday would mark the first unbeaten conference season in program history.

Sanders has been shooting the ball well, hitting 11 of her last 14 3-pointers and has scored at least 10 points in six straight games for the Titans. Teammate Rapuluchi Ngorka heads into Tuesday's game with 15 double-doubles on the season and continues to lead Region VIII with 12.9 rebounds per game.

St. Petersburg comes into Tuesday's game 9-18 overall and 5-6 in the conference. They are led by the trio of Brittany Wilcox, Megan Watson and Isis Triplett. Wilcox and Watson are averaging 13 points per game while Triplett is averaging 10.

Tuesday night's game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse.
