Women's basketball team beats Florida State College at Jacksonville for 10th straight win

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won their 10th game in a row on the road Thursday night.

The Titans improved to 22-3 overall and 9-0 in the Central Conference with a 74-45 victory over the Florida State College at Jacksonville.

Eastern Florida State College led by five points at halftime, but dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Florida State College at Jacksonville 19-6 in the quarter and went on to pick up the win.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Sanders finished with a team-high 17 points while Shadaria Smith had 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Leilani Guion had 11 points and five rebounds. Teammate L'or Eyeba Mputu grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds to go with nine points.

Eastern Florida State College will be back at Titan Field House Wednesday night, hosting Santa Fe at 5:30 p.m. A win and the Titans will clinch the Central Conference regular season title. The game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV, which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. Admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
