Women's basketball team hits road for conference game Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will hit the road for a Central Conference game at Santa Fe College Saturday afternoon.

The Titans are ranked 21st in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, are 18-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference and have won six games in a row.

Eastern Florida State College is led by Rapuluchi Ngorka who is averaging 15 points and 12 rebounds per game and has recorded 12 double-doubles. Shadaria Smith is averaging 12 and Kaitlyn Sanders is scoring 10 points per game for the Titans. Teammate L'or Eyeba Mputu is coming off her first career double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Santa Fe is coming off its first conference win but has only played three conference games, one against the Titans which Eastern Florida State College won. The Titans have now won five straight in the series.

The game will feature two of the best rebounders in the state as Ngorka is averaging 12 rebounds per game while Aleisha Curry is grabbing 11.7 per game. In the first meeting, Ngorka finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds.
