Women's basketball team drops Florida State College at Jacksonville on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team won their fourth straight game Monday night, defeating the Florida State College at Jacksonville on the road.

The Titans, who are ranked 25th in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, won 81-41 Monday to improve to 16-3 which is the program's best start in the past 20 years.

Eastern Florida State College jumped out to a comfortable 26-8 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there as 11 different players scored in the game. 

Freshman L'or Eyeba Mputu finished with 16 points, marking the 11th time this season the forward has scored at least 10 points in a game for the Titans. Teammate Shadaria Smith was a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor to finish with 15 points while Rapuluchi Ngorka had 11 points in the victory. Jillian Schenk had nine points and a season-high seven rebounds.

Eastern Florida State College will host St. Petersburg College in a Central Conference game on Wednesday night. The Titans, who are 3-0 in the conference, will tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
