Women's basketball team falls to No. 20 Pensacola

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team lost for the first time this season, falling to No. 20 Pensacola State College 68-62 Saturday at the Thanksgiving Classic.

The game was tight throughout Pensacola leading by two points heading to the fourth quarter. Pensacola would end up winning by six, snapping the Titans seven-game win streak to start the season.

The 17th-ranked Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team was led by Rapuluchi Ngorka's 14 points and nine rebounds while Hanna Mebius-Svensson had 13 points and Shadaria Smith finished with 10. Ana Carolina DeJesus grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds in the game.

The Titans will travel to Gulf State College for a game at 3 p.m. on Sunday to face the Commodores who are 5-1 this season and receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I poll. Gulf Coast State's lone loss is to EFSC in the Women's Basketball Shootout.
