Women's basketball team tops Palm Beach State College on the road

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team is off to one of the best starts in recent history, improving to 6-0 with the 77-68 victory against Palm Beach State College Monday night. 

The Titans, who moved up to No. 17 in the NJCAA Division I poll, led by 10 heading into the fourth quarter but Palm Beach State College played well, cutting the lead to one point at one point but the Titans went on a 16-8 run to pick up the win.

Rapuluchi Ngorka finished the game with a game-high 25 points and 21 rebounds while teammate L'or Eyeba Mputu had 12 points and Ana Carolina De Jesus finished with 10.

The Titans will travel to Pensacola this weekend for three games. The women will play Walters State Community College at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, then play host Pensacola State College on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Titans will wrap up the weekend against Gulf Coast State College Sunday.
