Women's basketball team defeats Hillsborough in conference matchup

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team improved to 6-2 in the Suncoast Conference with a 75-63 road win against Hillsborough Community College.

The 22nd-ranked Titans will wrap up the regular season on Saturday in a battle of top 25 teams as No. 9 Florida Southwestern State visits Titan Field House.

On Wednesday the Titans jumped out to a 10-point lead after the first quarter led by Jacquelyn Levay's eight points. From there they kept a double-digit lead for most of the game, winning their 22nd game of the season.

The Titans were led by the trio of Skye Williams, Milan Schimmel and Levay as Williams finished with 13 points and six rebounds, while Schimmel and Levay each had 11 points.

Saturday's game will be Sophomore Day for the Titans as they will honor the sophomores who will play their final game at Titan Field House and admission is free.
