Women's basketball team hosts Hillsborough Saturday in Suncoast Conference game

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team looks to solidify second place in the Suncoast Conference Saturday afternoon at Titan Field House.

The Titans, ranked 22nd in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, come into the 2 p.m. game against Hillsborough Community College 19-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference and lead Region 8 in points per game, averaging 83.6 points per game and are second in 3-point percentage at 35.3 percent.

Sophomore Jacquelyn Levay has hit at least four 3-pointers in each of the past four games and leads region 8 in 3-point shooting percentage, hitting 45.9 percent of her shots from beyond the arc.

Hillsborough comes into the contest 8-15 overall and in third place at 1-3 in the conference. Sophomore guard Alaisa Spivey is one of leading scorers in Region 8 this season, averaging 20.6 points per game for the Hawks.
