Women's basketball team defeats College of Central Florida

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team hit 12 3-pointer to beat the College of Central Florida Wednesday night on the road.

The Titans, who improved to 14-4 overall, picked up the 93-69 non-conference victory in Ocala.

After falling behind early in the first quarter, the Titans found their range and finished on an 11-0 run to take a 21-10 lead after the first quarter. From there the Titans would extend the lead to 23 at halftime. 

Anja Knoflach tied her season high in the first half with 15 points and finished the game with 25. Teammate Milan Schimmel finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, while Skye Williams finished with 14 and Jacquelyn Levay had 11 points.

The Titans will open the Suncoast Conference season at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon against St. Petersburg College at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
