Women's basketball team back home to host ASA Miami Saturday afternoon

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team returns to Titan Field House Saturday afternoon for a non-conference game with ASA Miami.

The Titans are No. 25 in the NJCAA Division I poll and are coming off a tight loss to No. 1 Gulf Coast State College in the Lady Jets Holiday Classic on New Year's Eve.

They head into the 2 p.m. matchup with ASA Miami 12-4 on the season and have won five straight against the Silver Storm. ASA Miami is 1-10 on the season and have lost nine straight.

Eastern Florida State College is third in the state in points per game, averaging 80.1 points per game while allowing just 64.9 points per game.

Sophomore Skye Williams leads the Titans attack, averaging 15 points per game. Teammates Milan Schimmel and Stephanie Torres come into Saturday's game averaging 13 and 12 points per game respectively while Jacquelyn Levay is averaging 10 points this season.

Admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College and will be aired live on the EFSC YouTube page.
