Women's basketball team falls at St. Petersburg

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team lost a Suncoast Conference game against St Petersburg College Saturday afternoon.

The Titans lost to St. Petersburg for the second time this season, this time falling 80-72 at St. Petersburg. The loss tightens up the race for second place in the conference as the Titans are now 3-4 with two games left and St. Petersburg is 3-5 with a game against Hillsborough Community College left next Saturday.

Eastern Florida State College got off to a slow start and St. Petersburg led by 12 points after the first quarter. The Titans cut the lead to four after three quarters, but St. Petersburg finished strong to pick up the win.

Skye Williams finished with a team-high 23 points and Jacquelyn Levay had 16 points in the loss.

The Titans will host Hillsborough Community College Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. and it will be sophomore night at Titan Field House.
