Women's basketball team falls in conference opener

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team fell to St. Petersburg in the Suncoast Conference opener Saturday on the road.

The Titans, who are now 10-9 overall and 0-1 in the conference, rallied back in the fourth quarter but couldn't pick up the win, falling 82-73.

Eastern Florida State College was down 23 points in the fourth quarter and cut it to nine points, but could not get any closer.

Freshman Jacquelyn Levay led the Titans with 18 points and Angeni Worley added 12 points and Briana Fahy and Skye Williams each had 11 points in the game.

The Titans will host Hillsborough Community College on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. It will be Green Dot night at Titan Field House with games and other activities before the game.
