Women's basketball team hosts Daytona State College Saturday afternoon

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team will be back at Titan Field House for a non-conference game Saturday afternoon.

The Titans are 4-1 at Titan Field House this season and 10-7 overall as they host Daytona State College at 2 p.m. in a battle of top 10 teams in the state.

Daytona State College comes into the contest 10-7 on the season and has won six of the past seven meetings between the two teams. The Titans won last year's meeting, 69-60.

Eastern Florida State College comes into the game with four players averaging double figures in scoring led by freshman Tynasia Bunting who is averaging 16 points per game. Teammate Skye Williams is averaging 14 points per game while Sierra Votaw is averaging 12 points and 6.7 rebounds. Freshman Jacquelyn Levay is averaging 10 points per game for the Titans.

The Titans will open the Suncoast Conference schedule Jan. 12 at St. Petersburg before hosting Hillsborough Community College on Jan. 16.
