Women's basketball team drops FSC Jacksonville

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team scored a season-high 98 points in a win against the Florida State College at Jacksonville Tuesday night at Titan Field House.

The Titans, who beat FSC Jacksonville for the second time this season, outscored the Blue Wave 53-20 in the second have to improve to 7-4 on the season.

FSC Jacksonville used a 7-0 run to finish the second quarter but trailed 45-32 at the half. The third quarter saw the Titans go on an 11-2 run and pull away for the victory.

Sierra Votaw led the way with 17 points while Taylor Jones and Briana Fahy each had 12. Teammates Skye Williams and Jacquelyn Levay each had 11 for the Titans who snapped a two-game losing streak.

The 98 points was the most for the Titans at home since the 2016-17 season. It is the first of a four-game homestand for Eastern Florida State College, who will host Miami Dade on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. and Santa Fe on Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. before wrapping up the homestand against Indian River State College Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
