Women's basketball team edges Miami Dade

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team edged Miami Dade 75-73 in the Central Florida Shootout Friday night at the College of Central Florida.

Tied 73-73 with 12 seconds to go, Taylor Jones hit both free throws to take the lead. Miami Dade drove and Phillipa Greene tipped the shot, the Sharks got the offensive rebound but Angeni Worley knocked it loose and time ran out.

The Titans improved to 4-0 on the season with the win.

Eastern Florida State College was led by Skye Williams' 17 points while Jones and Tynasia Bunting each had 11 points.

The Titans will play the host College of Central Florida at 6 p.m. on Saturday and will host ASA Miami Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in the home opener.
