Women's basketball team tops Georgia Highlands in OT

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team came on strong in the fourth quarter to force overtime, then defeated Georgia Highlands at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Georgia.

The Titans improved to 10-2 on the season with the 75-71 victory, outscoring Georgia Highlands by six in the fourth quarter and then four in OT. Guard Brianna Lewis scored a season-high 26 points while teammate Alexandrine Obouh-Fegue recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Mariah Batz finished with 12 points.

Eastern Florida State College will face No. 2-ranked Shelton State at 6 p.m. Saturday and then No. 7 South Georgia Tech on Sunday before returning to Titan Field House on Jan. 3 to host Indian River State College in a game that will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV.
