Titan women's basketball pulls out win at Chipola Classic

The Eastern Florida State College women's basketball team hit 14 3-pointers to defeat Snead State 85-71 in the Chipola Classic Saturday afternoon.

After leading by one point at the half and tied up after three quarters the Titans went on a run and outscored Snead State 26-14 in the final quarter to pick up their fourth win of the season.

Mariah Batz led the attack, hitting six 3-pointers to finish with 19 points. Teammate Trudy Walker also had 19 points to go with 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

Tayler Smith had 11 points and 12 rebounds while Victoria Morales and Evey Sagner each finished with 11 points as well.

The Titans will hit the road on Wednesday, traveling to Santa Fe College for a 6 p.m. game. Eastern Florida will be back at Titan Field House Dec. 21, hosting Florida State College at Jacksonville. Tipoff is 6 p.m. and admission is free.
